We took the Disney Adventure to the White Settlement. This is what Disney shared with us before the tour - and honestly it was UNBELIEVABLY BEAUTIFUL!!!!
- Drive along the coast to Vejer de la Frontera, perched high above the steep gorge of the River Barbate.
- Explore Vejer de la Frontera, declared as a national monument in 1978. This pretty village offers a perfect example of what many Andalusian towns were like during 5 centuries of Islamic rule.
- Enjoy a 45-minute guided walk (wear comfortable walking shoes) through this charming town as you explore the cobble-stoned streets and the beautiful Plaza España, one of the prettiest village squares in Spain. Here you will have 15-minutes of free time to explore the local shops. Note: This excursion involves approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes of standing or walking across approx. 2.5 miles of flat terrain, uneven ground, steep hills, cobblestones and steps.
- Enjoy a refreshment and some typical tapas of the region at the Hotel "Convento San Francisco".
- Continue in the countryside passing through the Natural Park "La Breña," a beautiful and protected pine forest.
- Visit Cape Trafalgar, the lighthouse marking the bleak headland where Lord Nelson won the Battle of Trafalgar, but sadly lost his life.
- Next, continue to Conil de la Frontera, a small town with narrow cobbled streets, historical monuments, tapas bars and shops. Here you will have approximately 60 minutes of free time, perhaps to relax in one of the many tapas bars, people watch, shop for souvenirs or stroll along the golden beach.
- Drive back to the ship.
